Meet The Physician

John Lundeby, MD, FACS, FAACS

Dr. John Lundeby is the owner and medical director of Shape Cosmetic Surgery & MedSpa. He is Triple Board Certified in Cosmetic Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Furthermore, he graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1991. Dr. Lundeby decided to become a doctor at an early age. Growing up in a small farm town in Idaho, he was inspired by the local doctor. That old-fashioned rural doctor did it all: performed surgeries, delivered babies, treated sick children, and set broken bones. “He was a big influence on me,” states Dr. Lundeby. “He always took excellent care of his patients. I chose to become a surgeon because I’ve always been interested in mechanical things and am good with my hands. Cosmetic surgery allows me to work directly with my patients, help them achieve their aesthetic goals, and really take care of them the right way—without having to fight insurance companies or medical bureaucracy telling me my patients don’t need what I consider necessary care.”

Practicing medicine the old-fashioned way—truly taking care of patients; talking to them in language they can understand rather than medical jargon; really listening to them to understand their needs—that’s the way Dr. John Lundeby manages his office. Dr. Lundeby believes in doing things the right way, so he focuses exclusively on cosmetic surgery and foregoes performing other types of surgeries. He also believes in providing old-fashioned service to his patients. While he doesn’t make house calls, he does offer a fully AAAHC-accredited in-office surgical suite, relieving patients of the hassle and added cost of a hospital or surgical center visit.
